Day 1 Trivandrum Arrive Trivandrum airport , met & transfer to hotel the hotel in Trivandrum city. Afternoon leave for the sightseeing Of Trivandrum city comprising Padmanabhaswami temple, Horse palace, Napier museum and SriChitra Art Gallery. Day 2 Trivandrum / Cochin Today after the breakfast, you will be driven 05 hours to Cochin one of the oldest port cities of India that has had very rich cultural past and cosmopolitan associations. Cochin Queen of the Arabian Sea. Believed to be the finest natural harbour in the world. With ferry rides commanding its breath taking view. As you cruise around man-made islands with lush green lawns sloping down to the water's edge. Cochin is the oldest European settlement in India. Recording a history of visitors who came, saw and stayed for hundreds of years. Layered impressions - Chinese, Arab, Jewish, British, French and Portuguese are contained within its environment. Overnight at hotel. Day 03 Cochin Today Leave for the half day tour of the satellite towns of Kochi (Cochin) which comprise of visits to the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. See the Chinese fishing nets, which dot the harbor as you drive along the coastline. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. Also visit Jew Street which is famous for the antiques. In the evening enjoy Kathakali dance performance. Kathakali is a traditional dance form of Kerala and is performed only by men. Overnight at hotel. Day 04 Cochin - Munnar This morning you will be driven 05 hours to Munnar, Check in to the hotel for 02 nights stay. Munnar is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathani & Kundala. 1600 meter above sea level this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. Sprawling Tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, and holiday facilities make this a popular resort town. Dense forests, wildlife sanctuaries and major cash crop plantations cover most of the region. Munnar also has the highest peak in South India - Anamudi, which towers over 2695 m. Anamudi is an ideal spot for trekking. Nature-walk into a nearby tea plantation area.Overnight at hotel. Day 05 Munnar Full day for sight seeing of Munnar, visiting Old Munnar Town, the town market and Eravikulam National Park.Overnight at hotel. Day 06 Munnar / Thekkady Another leisurely start to the day. You will be driven 4 hours to Thekkady in the Western Ghats mountain range. Thekkady boasts of one of the largest game parks of India - the Periyar Tiger Reserve, where you may spot the elusive tiger and more likely elephants, wild dogs and a large variety of birds. Best known for its wildlife, Periyar is a must-see for all visitors to Kerala. The Periyar Lake lies at the heart of the sanctuary which is a veritable paradise for all wildlife lovers. Where else can one view the animals in their natural surroundings while cruising on the lake, or better still come within a few feet of a herd of wild elephants and still be at ease! The majestic gaur, deer, wild boar and the distinctive Nilgiri langur are often spotted along the lake as also water birds. On arrival at Thekkady check in to the Hotel. Two hours boat trip on the lake are the usual way of touring the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary subject to Government policy. Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary is one of the most important and frequently visited in India. Trips along the large artificial lake surrounded by dense forests is by itself value for money besides offering the opportunity to view wild life specially elephants, wild boar, etc. Overnight at hotel. Day 07 Thekkady Full day for spice plantation visit with the naturalist, elephant ride, feeding of elephants. For your visit to Spice Plantation, wear closed shoes - it feels like a jungle walk. Spices growing here include vanilla, black pepper, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg and mace, surrounded by coconut palms, bananas and jackfruit.Overnight at hotel. Day 08 Thekkay -Alleppey Today early morning after breakfast you will leave for Alleppey one of the most important tourist centers in the state, with a large network of inland canals earning it the sobriquet "Venice of the east". These large networks of canals provide Alleppey its lifeline. On arrival check-in to the houseboat, the Rice barge - converted cargo boat - will collect you from the jetty for a lazy journey through the meandering backwaters as you watch local life going on by the banks. In the evening the boat will anchor safely for the night stay. Overnight: Rice barge. Day 09 Alleppey - Kovalam Morning drive to t Kovalam beach for the 03 nights stay. Arrive & check-in to your respective stay-put hotels. Day 10/11 Kovalam Days at Leisure Day 12 Kovalam -Home Transfer to the Trivandrum airport for the flight to your next destination.
